Adarian Barr Jump Masterclass: Comparing Track and Field to Dunking and Team Sport Jumps
The skill of jumping is complex. There are many cues and instructions designed to help athletes jump higher, but in reality, few of them work, and they often create a “glass ceiling” of performance around one’s ultimate jumping ability.
By looking at the top-performers in the jumping events in track and field, as well as by watching those elite jumpers in team sports (basketball, volleyball), we can start to formulate the right ideas around what good jumping truly is. Once the foundation of jumping is understood, we can now begin the process of knowing how to coach it better, be it in technique or with the underlying training program.
This 90 Minute Zoom Webinar Will Cover:
Important technical points and commonalities amongst world-class jumping athletes in track and field
Technical elements of great jumpers in team sports
Coaching and exercise ideas that can help athletes get on the best path in improving jump performance
