A person throws a New Year's Eve party, but they aren't really there. 

They're just hyped to send out the invitations - To pull in a town that may need such an event - To remind a whole crowd it'll make memories.  

Something big is coming, this person thinks. Some drastic shift or epiphany. 

It'll happen at midnight. Just like every year. Just like every time New Year's Eve brings about some great upheaval or change. 

Nothing will be the same.
