Martina Gets a New Home

Martina Gibson is an 8-year-old African American girl who is slowly discovering who she is and where she fits in. After her family moves into their new home and she starts 3rd grade in the middle of the school year at a new school, she is faced with challenges that she has not dealt with before. Martina's parents, Mama and Daddy, help Martina sort through her problems with love and understanding, but she still must make decisions at school where she is considered the "new girl" Will Martina find her place in her new neighborhood and school?
