- Characterized by comprehension of the episodes of some one, some thing, some place or some event as intimately connected and explicable (explainable) only by reference to the whole.
- The treatment of the whole person, place or event, considering the mental, physical, spiritual and soulful factors, rather than just the episode alone.
- Dealing with the whole.
- A holistic view means that you are interested in developing the whole brain.

Culture is the sum-total of a people's evolving historical and contemporary experience, their values, beliefs and actions consisting of behavior patterns, symbols, and institutions unique to a people, that distinguishes them from another people.

It is the “essential spirit” or energy of the group, which characterizes and is reflected in all processes consistent with the group’s cultural reality, including educational content and methods.
