Our documentary begins on the docks on the Henry Hudson river. We march across Chambers Street where enslaved Africans traveled beginning their imprisonment along this street awaiting their time to be sold on the Stock Exchange located in the "Walled" Street section in lower Manhattan.

We expose the power of Foundational Black Americans as they evolved in this strange new land with very strange and evil people. From birth, Africans stolen from their homeland, forced to work in New York had their history, language, values, interests and principles taken from them. Yet despite this stolen legacy, Foundational Black Americans continued to rise through this challenge and acquire a unique, distinct cultural legacy that shaped life in Enslaved America.

By 1865, Africans so inspired the world that a French abolitionist named, Edouard de Laboulaye,  commissioned scultor Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi, to build a statue representing Liberty on behalf of Foundational Black American liberation. This statue now sits between new York and New Jersey. At one time, European immigrants dreamed of seeing this Foundational Black American women in the harbor. Unfortunately, they didn't realize and many Americans today don't know that the Statue of Liberty is another African symbol that was named, "Ma'at," Lady Liberty.

Our documentary is meant to expose the rich history of Foundational Black American emancipation and liberation. No matter what Foundational Black Americans experienced, still they rose and continue to rise today.
