Edmund Alyn Jones is one of those weird people who can use both sides of his brain. Edmund is a real oxymoron. Whether he's dual majoring in theatre and engineering, or listening to audiobooks about metaphysics while bodybuilding, Edmund always seems to test the boundaries of classification. Growing up in Detroit, Edmund found theatre and latched on for dear life. He soon branched out into writing when he won a year's worth of movie tickets for an essay. When he won over ten grand for a pair of speeches he wrote as an upperclassmen in high school, he figured writing just might get him out of the hood. Since then he's written several essays, poems, and short stories, while producing several of his original performance pieces, a one man show, and several plays. As a two time winner of the Heck-Rabi Playwrighting Festival, Edmund has turned his two passions of theatre and writing into a winning combination. Armed with his BFA from the University of Michigan (the one in Ann Arbor with the Big House) and MFA from the Hilberry (the last repertory theatre/graduate school in the country), Edmund has learned how to bring theatrics to even the most mundane of tasks. When he is not writing in his dungeon, or performing Shakespeare, Edmund runs his production company Dramatically Richer, LLC with his wife Kennikki Jones-Jones. There are children involved too but they shall remain unnamed to protect the innocent.
