When it comes to writing I am drawn to creating uncommon situations and then populating them with people who are pretty normal. Because even when real life gets weird (looking at you 2020) we still have to deal with all the normal stuff - family, relationships, employers (or lack thereof) and the other inescapable delights and challenges of being human.
