Why 2-letter words?
I'll always remember the #1 "secret" I learned from reading everything I could about pro word game players. And I read a lot!
Like you, I'm a busy person. I can't memorize EVERY word and advanced tactic, so I needed something that could make a huge impact immediately.
I wanted instant gratification.
Something I could use throughout every game. And I wanted to win...LOTS!
That's when I stumbled across the importance of the 2-letter words!
At first, I thought it was too good to be true, but I was relying on 2-letter words all the time. And winning all the time!
Not only can they be used to get rid of tiles to win at the end of games, but you can connect words AND score lots of points with only two tiles.

Then, I didn't think I could remember all the 2-letter words, but I taught myself several shortcuts to break down the list, and could easily remember 67% of them right away, including the aforementioned "Sound of Music" shortcut.
