In this video series learn how to deal with the most common 3d modeling problems in Blender 2.8x
3D modeling is hard, sometimes needlessly uncooperative. So many things can go OFF THE RAILS. Even if you feel more or less comfortable with 3D modeling in Blender, there are always more things that can spoil the fun.
Common 3D Modeling Problems in Blender
A subdivided object collapsing into a shapeless mess
Topology going haywire
Non-manifold geometry
Boolean ops ruin the topology
Some models just explode (due to an error in the modifier stack)
Bevels overshooting
Exported models are broken
Too many polygons to even move a vertex
....or Blender just crashes
We’re sure some of these issues sound familiar to you. We call it 50 Modeling Issues from Hell.
We believe that this course is the ultimate troubleshooting tips collection for 3D modelers. Actually there are more than 80 mini-tutorials available right off the bat. 7+ hours of training. And more to come.
This course is aimed at the intermediate skilled Blender users. Although we have tried our best to make sure it’s comprehensible for beginners as well, we’re going to be moving fast, maybe a bit too fast for the absolute beginners. So this could be a problem if you don’t feel familiar enough with the user interface.
BONUS: Project files
A bulky .blend file with all the examples mentioned in the videos is included.
All project files are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Feel free to use these assets in your projects, even commercial.
"Every Blender user needs to see this series in order to save themselves years of frustration and hopeless searching on forums for answers. It's the silver bullet to your glitchy mesh werewolf."
"Instead of having you dig through years old Stack Exchange posts or long outdated tutorials, 50 Modeling Issues from Hell compiles answers to all the questions you thought nobody had a clear answer on in one single massive tutorial series."
"I can't wait to learn the valuable modeling tips in this series so I can walk by other Blender users' workstations and shake my head with a knowing smile."
"It's not often you find a tutorial series that benefits you on virtually EVERY project you work on, regardless of subject or genre. I've been using Blender for over 10 years, and there are still so many things I learned from Gleb and Aidy's course!"
"I love the dynamic quality of these materials. They are brilliant and robust, and it is a must-have tour for anybody seriously willing to master Blender!"
"As I have grown as an artist over the years I have spent many hours figuring out my own ways to battle the issues laid out concisely in this course. I would recommend this as well as any other product that Creative Shrimp sells to 3d artists because they are really, really, really, really good at 3d."
Thanks for taking the plunge into the modeling pits with us! Don't worry! We're going to learn together how to get out of modeling hell and soar above those demon glitches that were keeping us down, oh and we'll have a little fun along the way, darkness usually hates that.
What to download?
We've placed all the main files at the top, so the 3 zip files at the top with all the videos in. Then there are 2 more zip files with other cool stuff you may enjoy.
Otherwise all the videos are available to stream, or download individually if you wish. Just to note though these are the same videos that you'll find in the larger zip files.
Enjoy!
We've put the videos in a logical sequence that we think makes the best sense to experience them if you want to watch from beginning to end. However, they are also able to be absorbed individually so please feel free to freestyle the content sort of like you might with an Encyclopedia.
The current full list (there will be more to come) of contents we'll be keeping and updating here...
