Since 2011, hundreds of filmmakers have taken the “7 Days to a Film Festival Strategy” email seminar to prepare themselves and their films for the festival circuit.
“[This seminar] was hugely motivating, giving me the excitement about the festival circuit that really helps me to actually spend the money on the festivals I've researched." - Daniel M, about the previous edition of the 7 Days course
As a filmmaker, one of the biggest questions you’re probably asking yourself is: "how can I narrow down the giant list of festivals out there to the ones that are the best for me?” This 7-part email seminar and included workbook will help you begin that journey and track your progress throughout.
Every day you'll get a new email with insider knowledge and practical exercises that will help you save money, avoid frustration, and understand how festivals work.
Things you’ll be able to accomplish after this course:
- Have an overall understanding of the annual film festival timeline
- Create your film and filmmaker “profile sheet”
- Understand where to find festivals and what they want
- Research festivals
- Create a budget
- Start submitting and track your submissions
"The entire idea of entering a film festival is so overwhelming. But this seminar was AWESOME at breaking it down step by step to make it so less overwhelming and stressful." - Travis C, about the previous edition of the 7 Days course
- Step-by-step instructions for creating a festival strategy, including goal-setting, evaluation, research, and submissions phases
- a PDF workbook to track your progress
- a PDF ebook containing the first 2 chapters of Film Festival Secrets: A Handbook for Independent Filmmakers
“[7 Days to a Festival Strategy] helped me organize my thoughts and plans about trying to take my film out there, in particular prioritizing what is the most important thing to me. Otherwise you’re thinking in a very abstract manner about festivals.” - Jody L, about the previous edition of the 7 Days course
7 Days to a Film Festival Strategy was recently overhauled to include the latest information based on my experience over the last 5 years since the course was created.
