Autism "Facts" vs. What It's Like From the Inside - Autism Opportunities 2015

These are the overview notes and references from the talk I gave at the Autism Opportunities 2015 Conference.  It takes me about 5 days to plan out a presentation, pull together all of the research, and set it up on slides.

And it would take a lot longer if I hadn't spent most of my free time hunting down autism information since 1988, when I learned I had autism!  However, not everyone can attend conferences...

While I can't share the slides because of the licensing restrictions for the photos, this overview of the ideas and research links gives you an easy back-grounder for understanding that the top 3 autism "facts" no longer hold water:

- Autism is a neurological disorder X

- There are many more autistic males than females X

- There are no known causes for autism  X

What's true is that not only do we know what is causing the challenges, we know how to turn them around.
