Why? For the last 2 years I have been stuck in a rut. I work plenty hours and only get little work done, study and study for hours yet I’m still only able to do very little, try to learn new skills and never get past the beginner level. A few months ago after trying unsuccessfully to start another consumer web start-up with my friend by outsourcing development, I got fed up and decided enough is enough. I need to change something; I need to regain control of my life, learn how to code and put my fate back in my own hands. Fast forward to today and I am about 2 weeks away from launching my first start-up where I am the designer, developer and marketer (I have a co-founder who handles licensing and customer relations). My productivity is through the roof and all though I was no slob before; I am now in what is probably the best shape I have ever been in my life. In wax on wax off, I share everything that has helped me to get to where I am today, hoping that you can apply them to your life and get to where you want to be. Productivity In this section, I am not going to talk about to-do lists, making plans and all that because while they will help improve productivity, knowing what to do or when to do it is not usually the big problem. The problem is actually getting yourself to sit down for long enough to get work done and to actually do the work you need to do in that time. If you have noticed, there are times when you feel really productive and actually get a lot of work done, and then there are other times when you just don't really want to work and even if you decide to push yourself, you end up getting distracted often (no matter how hard you try to focus) and end up getting very little to no work done. The essence of what I teach in this section is how to work with your body's natural ultradian cycles to get more of those focused productive moments and less of the distraction filled unproductive time chunks. I don't just teach however, I have organized the information in a way that will help you quickly and easily integrate this new productive way of working into your life. ~ Contents ~ Open Loops & Latent Stress Create a Morning Ritual Habitualise your Ritual Double the Pomodoro 30 Minute breaks Create an Optimal Working Environment Manage Your Commitments Plan out your day Accelerated Learning I never thought I’ll be able to code. Before I started just a month ago, I thought: at 21, it’s probably too late and I'll just have to keep banging my head on the wall, trying to get a developer that I can afford to help bring my ideas to life. I really believed I’ll be unable to learn how to code without committing too many years of my life, but when I started hearing about how Tim Ferris became a world record holding tango dancer in 6 months, how a basket ball coach is able to train almost any team to shoot 3 pointers better than NBA's average accuracy in 2 weeks and how a master chess player went on to master martial arts, I decided to give accelerated learning a closer look in the hope that I’ll be able to apply it to programming and finally take full control of the implementation my ideas. What I found were a few simple little tips and tricks and smart ways of working and learning that I could use to master almost any complex skill, faster than I ever thought possible if I was willing to Put in the effort. ~ Contents ~ Accelerated Learning Prepare For Trouble Find a Mentor Get the most out of your mentor Learn By Copying Be Accountable Refine Your Taste Break It Down Keep a Progress Journal 100% Healthy Brain The Rest - Deep Practice - Steal like an artist - Enjoy the Frustration - Slow Down - Narrow your practice - Practice Daily - Avoid Tool Worship - Work Hard - Remain Pure If you think wax on wax off will improve your life, you should get a copy now.
