Create Your Networking Tribe- How to Network to Get the Clients You Want!
Let’s be honest, networking is hard for many of us. You’ve heard (or lived) the struggle of walking into a crowd, making a bee-line for the snacks to buy time until someone approaches you and you have to blurt out an elevator speech about what you do and what your ‘niche’ is. Gawd. That sounds terrible even typing it.
Sara and Alyssa are helping us squash these networking woes and walk us through some tips on how to network authentically and effectively to help you get the clients you really want! (And build some awesome therapist relationships along the way!)
In this CEU you will:
- Create a customized networking plan with at least 3 different marketing strategies geared towards your specific personality.
- Learn common mistakes and barriers that get in the way of creating effective professional relationships with fellow therapists.
- Leave with a list of different social media and in-person avenues to creating your networking tribe.
- Spend time with other amazing people and start your network!
Alyssa Cornett, LMFTA Bio:
Alyssa Cornett is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who specializes in relationship coaching and couples therapy. She enjoys helping couples and individuals strengthen their connections, deepen their passion and enhance their lives in a more meaningful way. Using an integrative approach to therapy, she helps clients identify and address their challenges, patterns and blocks in order to set clearer relationship parameters, establish new ways to listen and express themselves and cultivate a greater sense of fulfillment and transformation. She aims to help her clients feel more confident, competent and motivated than ever to reach for the lives they’ve always wanted!

Sara Paules, LPC-Intern Bio:
Sara Paules is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern who specializes in working with intuitive, creative and empathic women who are in depressive states and sexual issues in relationships. She enjoys helping individuals and couples to reconnect to their most authentic self and deepen connections to themselves and others. Sara values authenticity, vulnerability, humor and playfulness in all relationships and is on a personal mission to squash the bullshit in the name of creating more meaningful relationships across the Austin area. Sara is the type of therapist who you’ll find in traffic singing along to her favorite hip-hop music on full blast and whose favorite idea of self-care to suggest to clients is to take time to just pick up that pair of dirty socks that’ve been on the floor for 2 weeks. Far from a surface level conversationalist, Sara loves digging deep with her clients to discover the different messages and masks that are being worn as a way to numb from reality. Sara believes in the power of shedding masks in order to become your most authentic, fulfilled self.
