Canadian Patriot 12: Euthanasia Comes to Canada

As this issue of the Canadian Patriot goes to press, the Quebec National Assembly has passed Bill 52 to legalize euthanasia.

Many had falsely believed this bill to have been killed on February 20, when snap elections were called by the Parti Quebecois (PQ) government which had formerly sponsored the bill. By March 4, the Quebec Liberal party had taken over control of government, and announced not only that severe austerity would be its defining policy ... but that Bill 52 would be re-introduced under a Liberal-PQ banner. Had even a single member of the legislature opposed this proposition, then the bill would have been declared dead on the spot. Sadly, not an ounce of moral courage animated the elected provincial officials who had voted against the PQ version of the bill in February, and the bill's re-introduction was approved unanimously, while its passage into law was voted on June 5.

This is not a Quebec issue, but an issue for civilization as a whole. rt is an issue that cannot be evaluated outside of the historical context that brought mankind to a point of economic meltdown

Lyndon LaRouche had warned that the Bail-out system begun in October 2008 was coming to an end and that unless a new system was restored based on the principle of the general welfare, then the austerity measures being implemented by agencies of the City of London and Wall Street would lead inexorably towards dictatorships and fascism. The collapsing system is contracting fast and demanding ever more human sacrifice to prop up the speculative debt which is going sour and under this technocratic logic (which both Couillard and Justin Trudeau represent in Canada today), euthanasia is a most effective means of shedding "waste".

The only solution to this crisis of austerity and economic collapse, is found in the rejection of all beliefs in monetarism. For it is from this concept, so dominant as it is in society today, that has reduced humanity to a status little better than a cow, or consuming machine programmed to interface with the external environment by a calculus of pleasure and pain. In this bestial view of man, there is no place for the concept of the intrinsic sacredness of human life. This is because neither machines nor cows make discoveries of principle that contribute to the improvement of their species as a whole ... whereas humanity's defining character as a species distinct from every other in the biosphere, is rooted entirely in this fact. Where other species are bounded in their capacity to exist in closed systems, and are governed by limits to growth based upon genetic and environmental constraints, humanity is a species of mind. Since humanity is defined by its cognitive powers to improve itself through acts of creative reason, we are an open system and thus relatively boundless in our capacity for self-perfectibility and progress.

This issue of the Patriot sheds light on the true nature of the euthanasia policies being set up in Canada and elsewhere which seek to create a new ethical order based upon a utilitarian-monetarist philosophy that deems certain lives "unworthy of life". We present reports on the real intention behind Bill 52, the historical precedents of the Nazi T4 euthanasia program, new systems of "expert panels" which decide who lives and who dies and showcase the fallacies of evidence-based medicine by Dr. Cathy Helgason. Dr. Helgason demonstrates that this system of thought not only negates creativity, but also provides a moral framework for "expert panels" who are mandated with managing scarcity.
