+ Small businesses are closing at an alarming rate.
+ About 75% of shopping malls might close in the next few years.
+ Amazon and other online retailers have gained an increasing share of the total retail sales.
Small businesses need to figure out a way to keep their doors open. Main Street, Downtown, BIDs and other local organizations are scrambling to find a way to keep their businesses running. And on top of it all, winter is coming and that's going to be extra incentive to not patronize our community businesses.
The good news is that those businesses are uniquely situated to offer something that online shopping can't: an experience, a sense of community and a familiar smile. They are already doing that. They always have.
To capitalize on that I have developed the Storefront Mastery system as a 4-step, easy to implement process to help small business owners create epic experiences that keep customers coming through the door and the cash register ringing.
I have simplified the complicated, expensive process of designing a great storefront and packaged it all in an accessible, $27 package that any small business owner can implement without help.
Much of the process of creating a new business is learning about the market, the industry and developing skills and strengths that help owners manage and grow their companies. They are in a unique spot: all they need is the appropriate toolkit to learn all the design principles and create successful storefronts that attract more visitors and paying customers.
After working with many small business owners who have tremendous passion for what they do and find delight in serving their customers, I found that a big challenge is to translate all that passion and will into a successful store design that engages, attracts and is an asset that helps improve sales and revenue.
This is how the Storefront Mastery playbook was developed. By combining the experience of founding a small, independent business and retooling when external conditions were bad, and of advising cities, local organizations and small business on how to create great places by listening to small business owners, this new playbook was born,
It takes all that combined knowledge and adds a few exercises to help small business owners to create unforgettable storefronts that make them money. It is the tool I use with my clients to make sure their story, concept and design are playing to their advantage.
Creating a great new storefront can be expensive if you hire professional design advice. Now you can have the tools to achieve that in your hands without the consulting fees.
