Basses

This pack contains an Ableton Live set with 45 presets for Ableton Sampler.

They mainly use abstract samples that approximate bass sounds.

Those presets were primarly designed to be used for bass lines, although all of them cover all the midi notes range and nothing prevents you to use them for high pitched notes.

There are no strict rules about how they are made, some use a single sample, some use many, some use filters and built-in effects of Sampler, some react to velocity or contain a lot of randomness.

Those presets use a total of 62 mixed stereo and mono *.wav files.

Tested with Ableton 10, not guaranteed to work on older versions of Ableton.

The presets are classified under four categories :

- simple synths (19 presets) : general purpose sounds created from scratch with hardware and software synths

- sampled (7 presets) : those use samples from actual instruments such as cello or electric bass

- ugly (12 presets) : those are either heavily distorded, inconsistent or unbalanced

- pads (7 presets) : those contain longer loops made with synths or acoustic hums
