Facial expressions are an important communication channel that allows us to infer other people’s emotional states and intentions.
In this workbook, we will focus on describing and depicting a set of six basic emotions: disgust, joy, sadness, anger, surprise, and fear.
These are the first emotions we develop. By eight or nine months, a baby already demonstrates a repertoire of emotional expressions that includes all of these.
