Following Directions with Kandinsky

Art project with Kandinsky, Speaking and Listening Standards, Art for Kids

This is an arts-integrated following oral directions activity which addresses Speaking and Listening standards/objectives. Students analyze a Kandinsky and create their own by following oral directions. This resource contains a lesson plan with objectives, learning targets/I Can statements, set/hook, etc. It also contains example images. This lesson can be extended by having students write about the procedures used to create the artwork. Recording sheets are provided on which students can write their analysis of Kandinsky's artwork. The images provided are perfect to pull up on a screen to use with students.
