For brevity’s sake I am using the title “Translation Agencies,” knowing full well that today the generic “translation” includes interpretation, voice overs, subtitling, localization, transcription, project management, desktop publishing, and other work performed by such agencies.
There are translation directories online. Most are outdated. Some include companies that are not translation or interpreting agencies at all. None let you know which agencies have current job openings or which ones are even accepting unsolicited résumés.
To appear on the first results page, search engines give preference to agencies that pay for ads. Even an objective sounding publication like “Consumer Affairs” charges to be listed as a “Top Translation Agency.” The same goes for the most popular job platforms. Not one of the translation / interpreting agencies listed here has paid to be included.
There are thousands of translation agencies in the world and in North America. To go through all of them looking for work is like looking for a needle in a haystack. To save you time, money, and uncertainty, the present volume brings you a thoroughly researched curated list of real translation agencies with real needs and employment opportunities.
I believe you will find Translation Agencies 2021 Edition a valuable addition to your professional resources.
