The live electronics may be performed in different ways:
- a musician performs live electronics as designed and provided by the composer, or a variation thereof, in a duet with the saxophonist.
- a musician performs improvised live electronics in a duet with the saxophonist.
- the saxophonist performs by themselves using the live electronics as designed and provided by the composer, or a variation thereof.
- the saxophonist performs improvised live electronics at the same time as the instrumental part.

The original program is a set of Max patches and presets, made available as free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation, either version 3 of the License, or any later version. It may be used as is with Max on most Apple systems: it makes use of Apple Audio Units such as compression, reverberation, etc. The program may be modified for use on PCs that would not have the same plugins available.
Note: the patch and presets for the baritone saxophone version and for the double bass version are identical.
