Étude du roman Enfants de la rébellion

FSL novel unit to accompany the Québecois author Susanne Julien's novel. about the Rebellions in Lower Canada in 1837-1838. Includes suggested vocabulary and reinforcement activities, comprehension and other types of questions (such as to make connections, draw inferences and summarize plot). There is also a set of six brief chapter quizzes to ensure students were reading and understanding as well as following class discussions on the novel. Quizzes also reinforce some of the vocabulary.

A final project choice board based on multiple intelligences allows this unit to end with a lot of differentiation. There are 14 options proposed, along with a corresponding rubric.

Answer keys for all quizzes, questions and vocabulary work are included. Some proposed discussion questions do not have complete responses, as discussion in the classroom will vary with different groups.
