Made on the Behringer MS-1 synthesizer fed into a Yamaha MT4x, the MS-1 808 basses are the thick, creamy, punchy, analog 808 basses you've been waiting for. They cover approximately four octaves each, so there's plenty of range to be had.

The sample pack comes with two sets of samples: a clean sound, and an overdriven sound. The clean sound is essentially what you'd come to expect—they're samples of a nice sounding 808 bass generated using the MS-1's low pass filter. The overdriven bass, however, is especially interesting; it's not only distorted, but also has an unexpectedly compressed dynamic range (even for an overdriven sound).

This sample pack is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution license—it's DRM free, and as long as you say I made it, you can share it with your buddies, enemies, or even lovers.

Provided people appreciate the sample pack, I'll probably make a combined tape and lo-fi version—they're in style nowadays, so it seems like a good idea.

NOTE

There are ***no*** Kontakt patches or anything with this sample pack. I don't have it, so I can't exactly make anything with it. Moreover, you need to chop the two samples up yourself—this may be seen as lazy on my end—and it is—but you actually have a lot more freedom to do stuff with the samples. Anyway, thanks for checking these out.
