As you know (perhaps after a distressing experience) when a well-meaning person tries to explain to someone in which way their beliefs are false, even dangerous, the good-willing person is coming up against a more and more solid wall. The more numerous and well documented his arguments, the more the listener will become deaf to his reasoning. <br>It is a psychological fact that you must not fight, since the fight strengthens it. You have to bypass it.

The street epistemology teaches us how to do so. It consists partly in pushing the interlocutor to ask himself questions. The questions we ask ourselves do not meet the defensive stubbornness that questions asked by a third party meet.

This audio guide is bilingual: that is, it presents itself as a language learning tool. The title indicates that it is a parody of the practical guides. A "serious" guide would not be concerned about helping the guru to build his enterprise. Because this bilingual audio book is often fun, offering it to a member-of-a-cult friend, or relative, is not perceived as a threat, or as a criticism of his choices.

Without attacking any church in particular, it spares none; it is more particularly directed towards the current attitudes and beliefs in the West, even if it is not limited to it.

Throughout the chapters the apprentice guru learns how to find his revelation, or how to make prophecies and miracles, etc. Of course, the future guru also learns to do what every cult leader does with talent: how to shear the flock.

The linguistic level is not high first because the audio book uses mainly the present of the indicative, then because the religious vocabulary varies very little from one language to another. And, I should say, from one religion to another.
