Common Sense Pathology is a regular, case-based series on practical pathology for GPs. It is a joint initiative of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and Australian Doctor.
Plasma lipid and lipoprotein levels affect the risk of serious cardiovascular events and acute pancreatitis. The Royal College of Pathologists has embarked on a review of the reporting of lipid and lipoprotein results because more detailed interpretations may be required in particular circumstances.
