Three Practices of Being the Observer:
Mindful detachment encompasses a practice of non-reactivity in the moment, allowing you to develop healthy emotional responses rather than re-acting in ways that fall into a behavior pattern you have been conditioned with throughout your life. Getting to a point where you can observe your life and yourself as things play out will allow you to make much more rational and beneficial decisions for everyone in each moment, including yourself.
Awareness is everything, and it will begin to shift you and your life in ways we can’t foresee or even imagine, exactly… for example, you may wish to achieve something specific, but the more you plan, the more things seem to go awry or off course. Planning is great, but if things continue to go weird, there will be a time when you have to make the choice between perseverance and switching directions.
