FFX MIDI Pitch and Octave [1.0.1]

FFX MIDI Pitch and Octave is a rebuild of the native Pitch MIDI device that comes with Ableton Live, with new features added.

I created this simple device, because I realized that 9 out of 10 times I reach for the native MIDI pitch device, I use it to shift octaves and I started to want a dedicated octave transposition function.

On this device, Octave number box allows you to shifting incoming MIDI by +/- 4 octaves and the Step Knob will shift MIDI notes by +/- 36 semitones. The FFX MIDI Pitch and Octave device also keeps track of the notes (or chords) currently held down so when you change the controls, your can get instant feedback on what it sounds like. This also means that the Step and Octave controls are usable with automation.

Automating the controls gets really great results that can range from chiptune-style octave flipping to interesting chordal planing & parallel harmonies.

A simple MIDI Note monitor is included along with a MIDI kill button in case you get a stuck note on a hardware synth.
