V-RAY FOR 3DS MAX Tutorial (130 minutes)
Theory behind the indirect illumination in V-Ray explained through diagrams, covering all the types.
Different types of Global Illumination are tested in relation to each other in order to see quality and render-time differences. Brute force, light cache, photon map logic made clear with examples. Breaking down of irradiance map to fully understand the adaptiveness process happening on the background. Further testing and practicing on the GI will be presented in following sessions. System tab settings covered, render elements showcased and suggested use. All the explanation is done in order to be able to evaluate which settings are most efficient for every situation.
The V-ray Essentials sessions are providing in-depth understanding of the main render settings in V-Ray. Sessions start from basic explanation of what is needed before moving forward with your project, how to prepare units for specific project, detailed explanation of the settings with main focus on Image sampler, DMC sampler, Color mapping,Output settings, Global illumination. All the render setup dialog is explained step-by-step, therefore it is suitable for the absolute beginners as-well as for advanced users.Explanation is done through examples and testing for all the possible cases of setup combinations.
