Manifesting Empathy

A survey course covering topics of individuality and community. We begin by discussing gender discrimination, use this as a foundation to explore conversations about racism, able-ism and power dynamics over the course of 20 emails in 26 days.

Through conversation, and practice, we can break down the walls that have kept us from each other, and begin to see others in our lives with greater humanity, while deepening and enriching our experiences.

We will start this process by learning about conceptual foundations to provide better context for contemporary conversation.

We will also avail ourselves of stories from the past, as their consequences play out in the present.

We do this in order to see how our own behavioral patterns may perpetuate aspects of these stories.

From this place of awareness, we can begin to act differently, and so find more and deeper connections in our lives.
