Sacroiliac Syndrome is caused by irritation at the point where the base of the spine joins the pelvis. Often there is a combination of low back pain which radiates into the buttocks and down the back of one leg.
The following symptoms are associated with Sacroiliac Syndrome:
- Sharp pain into the low back and buttock
- Tenderness when the affected buttock is pressed.
- Pain which refers into the back of the thigh but not down the leg.
- Pain and stiffness which is worse in the morning or after sitting.
Although painful, Sacroiliac Syndrome can be managed with conservative care and gentle mobilisation exercises.
Our treatment guide will show you how to manage the pain and accelerate the body’s natural healing process. Strengthening and mobilisation exercises will help you achieve normal pain free movement and prevent re-injury.
