PanelxPanel is the 2018 Eisner-nominated digital magazine celebrating the medium of comics. It’s edited by host Hass Otsmane-Elhaou, and features a rotating set of writers ranging from critics to professionals, fans and comic stores.

Each issue has two halves across it's 90+ ad-free pages. The first, a focus on a particular comic and featuring a series of essays, interviews, process pieces and an exclusive Strip Panel Naked column all focused around that comic. The twelfth issue covers Dark Horse’s  by Cullen Bunn and Tyler Crook.

The second half features regular articles, interviews, craft essays, a comic, and a series of comic recommendations from a range of comic-related voices.

This is a true celebration of the medium with every issue, looking at all the elements that make comics an interesting art form and great place to tell visual stories. This is a magazine that cares about comics.

This issue features an interview with Bunn and Crook on the craft and themes of the book. Crook gives an insight into the process of creating watercolour art for comics, as well as the usual exclusive Strip Panel Naked article and all the other essays on themes in the book.

For the regular features, we have Craft Corner by Matt Fitch and Chris Baker and creating their own comics publishing company. There's a quick-fire 5 Questions With... interview, plus Jason Hammons interviews Robert Kirkman on his career and process. Alongside a short comic, and a Final Thoughts column all about the best endings in comics.

Of course, the usual bunch of recommendations from writers, artists, fans, critics and shops as to what they've been enjoying this month.
