Sober Podcast 418 - What Normies Don't Know About Us

 What do ‘normal drinkers’ not understand about what it’s like to be us?

Well, since they don’t have a wolfie voice, they have no idea what it’s like to hear booze talking to us, saying 'drink now' or saying 'just one more time and quit later'. A normie doesn't know what a big deal this is for us, to be sober. They just don't get it. They CAN'T understand because they don't have a wolfie voice. So they’re unlikely to know how to cheer for us (however much we might like them to do this). Because, you know, we want someone to remember our special sober dates, we want someone to buy us celebration soberversary cards and flowers! But a normie, who doesn’t get it, is unlikely to be our sober cheerleader.

What else don't they understand? How cool it is to drive in the evenings (sober), how much you enjoy making a puzzle with your kid after dinner, and how proud you feel of you!
