Lesson 9 - “Trees are poems the Earth writes upon the sky,” wrote Kahlil Gibran. If your tree could speak what poem would it write? What words, images or feelings would your tree voice to you and through you that its wants others to hear? I will first share with you three poems to inspire you. Then, we will explore the voice of your tree through poetry by writing a poem of your own. The act of writing, especially poetry, is about meeting with the childlike, playful part of yourself. By diving into this connection, you create an even more open channel of communication with your tree teacher. You don't have to be a professional writer or poet to craft a poem! We will have fun in this guided activity, and your tree teacher will be grateful when you open up to sharing your own creative spirit!
