PRODUCTION NOTES:
Don’t worry!  This script respects those who believe in God and Santa.  Kids can still be present.  The actor playing the Boy is key.  Find a real smart, precocious kid who can pull off this role.  Maybe you want some department store CHRISTMAS MUZAK playing in the background too.

THOUGHTS:
But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.  Galatians 4:4-5

Look, Christmas is about Jesus.  But Santa is a controversial figure because he tends to draw the attention away from Jesus.  He appears more real to the world than Jesus!  Santa’s intentions of gift-giving parallel the greatest gift that has been given to us.

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for[c] our sins. 1 John 4:8-10

Let’s not attack Santa, but redefine him.

THEMES:
CHRISTMAS, JESUS, TRUTH.
