Set normals automatically based on UV border edges using an angle tolerance with this handy tool in Autodesk Maya. Great for baking complex normal maps that require a combination of soft and hard edges without needing to set the normals yourself.
-One click button to automatically soften and harden edges based on UV borders
-Tolerance setting to filter out edges that should be softened even though they are a UV border
-Tick box to toggle angle tolerance on/off
-Toggle button to show/hide edges while you work so you can see which edges are hardened without having to deselect the model-Toolbox takes up minimal screen space so you can leave it open while you work
