Drill down to up undulations with Audra
In stationary and walking drills, Audra takes undulations and their pieces into a 20 minute drill session. Geared towards beginner and intermediate dancers, these slow and medium tempo drills will develop the fundamental shape of the undulation, as well as challenge you with a short section on layering with hips on the up, and finishing the undulation off with shoulder and arm movements.
These undulations down to up are used throughout belly dance (traditional and tribal fusion), and are taught in Stage 1: Basic Black in The Dark Side Dance Program. They are used throughout all stages of The Dark Side Program, as well as the weekly classes at the studio.
(Undulations down to up, also called reverse undulations or body waves - they begin in the pelvis, flow through the abdominals and end with the chest lifted.)
