SAMPLE POEM

Were We Dolphins Once?

Were we dolphins once?
Did we glide through glassy waters
too deep to fathom?

Did we turn to speed heavenward

watch laughter bubble up
as our joyful hearts
overflowed with love,

abundance?

Were we dolphins once?
Did we dive, surface, dive again
without invention of words?

Were we held together
in perfect union,
by sacred beauty

that spoke of
who we really were?

Were we dolphins once?
My soul remembers you and longs
to know love again,

To frolic in endless ocean, because
it's where we're meant to be.
Come... swim, submerge,
emerge to shatter
earthbound barriers.

Remember now.
We were dolphins once.
