Do Animals Have Any Rights At All? – a Talking Points Lesson Plan for English Reading & Speaking
This is part of the Talking Points lesson series for Intermediate to Advanced students.
Animals rights is a very sensitive subject in many parts of the world. But some cultures have a different view of the topic.
For the most part, younger people usually love animals and often have a greater respect for them.
If you do this lesson the right way, you can find that your students will become animated and highly vocal in class. This lesson is designed to make them talk strongly about their opinions and views.
This lesson plan can be used in your English or ESL class – but also great for any IELTS speaking class.
The lesson comes complete with:
• a 500-word article
• a table of essential vocabulary
• a big list of questions for discussion
Start the class with the three opening questions and then do the reading. Then you can go through all the vocabulary – or set it as homework for the students to do later.
Then there is a big list of questions that are designed to get your students talking.
It comes in easy to use PDF format, ideal for printing for your needs. Use it again and again for your English/ESL classes.
