Autonoise Reason ReFill
While working from home I frequently have to block out a lot of extraneous noise (kids, neighbors, dogs, EMT vehicles, TVs, etc). I was listening to a lot of "noise art" and ambient types of music to try and accomplish this initially. After the first two weeks of working from home, I started thinking about how I could create an auto-noise generator in Reason via some basic CV routing. Well, one thing led to another and I created several of them. Each one with a slightly different character and vibe.
Some you can drop into a rack and they just start playing, some require hitting the play button, some have a "RUN/STOP" button. Just give them a try and you'll figure it out quickly.
A few of them require Rack Extensions (Pulsar and ART - Audiomatic Retro Transformer, specifically). If you don't have Europa, then you won't be able to make a few others work, but a handful should work all way back to Reason 4.
These are not for everybody, but they do make a beautiful noise. If you're a fan of artists like Sun O))), Brian Eno, Merzbow, and related stuff, then you'll probably have a blast with this.
You can check out the release video that explains a little more here.
UPDATE: Autonoise now has even more Autonoise patches and features AutoOrkester patches that call on Reason's native orkester library. Recommended to be played at a slow tempo, there are Autobrass, Autowinds, and Autostrings patches that can be mixed and matched to make a lovely organic mess of a sound.
Autonoise, AutoOrkester, and Eno-inspired patches for hours of noisy fun!
