NPK_UV_LAYOUT_V.1.0 is a python script for Autodesk Maya
This script can help you unify the texel denisity (scale of object's UV's relative to their scale in worldspace). *PLEASE NOTE* it works per object NOT per shell. It also works on groups and will treat a group as an object.
The ideal way to use the UI is to unwrap each object before you start duplicating it around and then use the script to help you lay out the UVs. It is identifying similar objects by looking at the topology of each object. It also works for groups, here it will look at the amount of objects in a group and the topology of the objects within the group.
Please read the USER END LICENSE AGREEMENT before using the script:
If you use the script you automatically accept and agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement.
NPK_UV_LAYOUT_V.1.0 is working in Autodesk Maya 2017 and higher (Windows, MacOs and Linux).
I have not tested the script in previous version of maya, so it may or may not work.
