Mr. Fox’s Detective Academy

Mr. Fox’s Detective Academy is a do-it-yourself escape game for kids inspired by escape rooms and scavenger hunts, which you can set up and play in the comfort of your own home. It is perfect for children ages 8 – 12 and can be played by multiple players at the same time.

The game is in PDF format and includes detailed step-by-step instructions on how to set everything up, as well as print files that you can use to print out all the clues and paper-based puzzles that are needed to run the game.

It takes around 30-60 minutes to set up and lets you turn your home into a unique and memorable escape room experience for your kids.

The game includes a series of clues, riddles, puzzles and challenges that players need to solve, each one leading them to the place where the next one is hidden. Players need to solve 7 unique riddle clues and 9 unique puzzles with over 20 different tasks to complete their mission and join the ranks of Mr. Fox’s Special Detectives.

The game also includes physical props and puzzles that you can set up with items you may already have at home, but just in case you don’t have all of them, below is a list of everything you will need:

• White crayon
• Tempera paints and a paintbrush
• Printed materials for the puzzles
• Sticky notes
• Paper folders or large envelopes
• 3 yellow balloons
• Balloons of various colors (as many as you like)
• Key and a place that can be locked with that key (room, car, wardrobe, etc.)
• Marker
• Jigsaw puzzle
• Scotch tape or Sellotape
• Roll of paper towel
• Paperclip
• Small Zip Top or fabric bag
• Prizes of your choice to award the players when they complete the game
