Attn: Canada residents. The Old Net is now selling BlueSCSIs in Canada as of 6/15, go to https://scsi.blue for a link, so if you order from him you'll save some money on shipping.
BlueSCSI to SD provides a convenient way to use MicroSD cards hard drives in your Vintage Macintosh! It comes as a Fully assembled solution or Kit!
Simple Design - Place a file on an SD card and go. Nothing to configure or setup.
Power Options - In most cases it is powered directly from the SCSI bus. If your bus can't supply enough power it provides a berg power connector or via USB.
Performance - Up to 1024KB/sec Read, 912KB/sec write.
Compatibility - Plus (only System 7), SE, SE/30, Classic, Classic II, Color Classic, LC 1/2/3, Mac II*. PowerMacs as a non-boot disk. For an updated list of machines, check out the Wiki page at https://github.com/erichelgeson/BlueSCSI/wiki/Supported-Systems
*The SCSI controller on the Mac IIsi doesn't provide termination power, so external power either via the USB port, or the berg(floppy power) connector is required
BlueSCSI comes in three variants:
- Fully Assembled. Assembled & tested. Just plug it in, write a file to a SD card and boot your Vintage Mac!
The kit comes with a preflashed BluePill Arduino along with all the parts you need to get it up and running - Just add an SD card and a Vintage Macintosh! You must be comfortable with through hole soldering along with one component that is surface mount. This is a good kit to test your skills in this area! If you are not comfortable soldering please choose a fully assembled kit.
The kit with a pre-soldered SD slot - Same as above, but the surface-mount MicroSD slot has been pre-soldered, so the only things to solder are through-hole components
This is a continuation of the ztto ArdSCSino-stm32. We've added features such as termination, alternative power sources, and software improvements in speed and functionality.
Product will be shipped in a padded mailer via USPS. I'll typically ship within 2-3 business days(unless noted at the very top of the page), but could possibly take a bit longer depending on my availability.
Currently ships to USA and Canada, if interested in shipping somewhere else, send an email to the email address below and I'll find out pricing. We have other authorized sellers in AU and the UK, for a complete list of all of the authorized sellers, go to https://scsi.blue
If you buy a kit, the BluePill board will be flashed with the latest BlueSCSI software, tested, and benchmarked on a real Macintosh, and marked with a small green sticker showing it's good before being added to a kit.
Fully Assembled is tested and benchmarked on a real Vintage Macintosh and marked with a sticker before shipping to you.
No warranty, 14 day return window if DOA. Support/help will be handled via Github or Discord. Can only guarantee compatibility with machines listed. No returns if incompatible with unlisted machines.
Please note regarding Fake ST chips: Due to the global chip shortage, most of the Bluepill's that are sent out will be clones and not genuine ST chips. They may be maked as ST but fake, they may be marked as CHK or HDM or something else. They are still 100% compatible with the BlueSCSI, are all tested and benchmarked on a vintage Macintosh before being sent out(both assembled units, and the Bluepills included with the kit), and all carry the same 14 day DOA return window.
