Procedural Branch Generator
This is something I've been working on for a while now. This Substance Designer material/node can generate an infinite variety of realistic looking branches for adding to your forest floor ground textures, or for making some individual branch assets on alpha cards and so on. The branch placement, knots and the amount of peeling bark that covers the branches is all randomized and procedural. But you can also manually clip the branches to whatever length you'd like, change the colors and scale of the bark and lichen. Lots of parameters to customize the branch. You can set how much bark covers the branch, or just let it all be generated randomly!
You can create infinite random variations or manually tune the branch with detailed parameters that include everything from hue and saturation levels to pruning controls. This fully procedural Branch Generator is ready to be tweaked for your needs with Substance Player or brought into Substance Designer as a utility node to add to your own Substances.
