'Fraidy Cats

PURPOSE:
We all struggle with our faith…even lions.

LOCATION:
Lion’s Den.

CHARACTERS:  
Daniel—A calm, comforting man.  Maybe wearing a robe.
Lion—A scaredy cat lion

PROPS:
Two chairs.  Two signs around the neck of our actors: “Daniel” and “Lion.”  A steak or porkchop (a fake one from a kid’s kitchen accessories)

TIME:
3-4 minutes

PRODUCTION NOTE:
This is a light comedy.  If you can dress the Lion in a Lion costume, go for it.  People will accept the simplicity of a man with a sign around his neck.

THOUGHTS:

We know Daniel had faith, but what about the lion?  Poor guy.  Stuck in a den for so long.  What about his dreams of roaming the wilderness and being king of the jungle!

Daniel must have had dreams too.  Dreams of being the king one day.   Dreams of growing up in Jerusalem.  His dreams were not as important as God’s dreams for him.

We all need faith no matter where we are, sitting on top of the world, or stuck in a hole in the ground.
