This is the first part of ongoing series of video tutorials about hard surface modeling inside Zbrush.
Part №1 covers the basics of the Zmodeler brush - > a new brush in ZB R7 that contains a set of polygonal modeling functions that allows a smooth sub-d modeling process.
I will show you what Zmodeler is good for in the first short introduction video and then walk you through the creation of a simple model using its "Actions" and "Targets" approach to sub-d modeling.
This tutorial is perfect for beginners trying to use Zbrush for Hard surface modeling.
- Introduction to Zmodeler - what it is good for?
- Using Zmodeler's Point, Edge and Polygon actions.
- Fine control over creasing, polygroups and masking.
- Creating hard surface shapes.
Tutorial length is 58min. It is edited video with overlays and explanations. Everything redundant is removed so you can watch the entire process in condense format and don't waste your time with repeating stuff.
Note that the voice over is in Bulgarian language, but included is carefully written subtitle file in English and following the tutorial with it is easy and clear.
