THERE ARE LOTS of people who want to write, and say they will, one day, but when? What about practicing your way towards something that is thematically your own? Could you dedicate 20 minutes a week to simply writing? Would it help to be made accountable by knowing there might be other people also asking themselves this question, and waiting to hear from you? We are talking in S P A C E in these protected pages. Join us to discover the journey from 'writing' to 'writing with others, for feedback, learning, challenging yourself to try new things, and growth'.
A. Spaice hosts forums in S P A C E to explore conversations on specific topics in protected-page forums at Design Kompany's blog. The first cojournal was 'The Mirror,' in 2014. Since then, there's been 'Self,' 'A Nomadic Existence,' 'Slow Moment,' and 'Strange Geometries.'
Our next topic is 'Strange Geometries.'
Here's how it works. A. Spaice sends invitations to very specific individuals, based on the theme and the conversations . For 'The Village', for example,we are talking together about work, family and relationships. People are writing and sharing as we go. Talking together, as though we're in a parlor room, but freed of the burden of having to go into smalltalk. It's carefully moderated, non-religious, non-hierarchical and light. This will be for 12 weeks. No more than 4 seats for 'Strange Geometries.' It's a very self-selecting group that shows up for these things, so if it sounds interesting to you, DK welcome you to apply. Selected candidates will be invited to register at this page.
How did the cojournal start?
The idea was to design a short, do-able program for people who don't know one another to explore topics of mutual interest. 'What if writing could be a shared experience?' That was the question that Design Kompany and Kismuth Books wanted to answer. The design and publishing teams worked together to write a series of prompts, and invite people to discover ways to connect that might surprise them.Questions? Contact A. Spaice.
