The Tao of Blogging

Unlike any inspirational or daily affirmation book, The Tao of Blogging dares to ask the BIG questions about life, love and death that no one else would touch, such as, "Does this urn make my butt look big?"

The Tao of Blogging is a beautifully designed collaborative photo book full of funny and quirky online quotes that reveal a deeper message of wisdom. Profits will go to literacy non-profits.

For tablets and computers users, choose the version marked "spreads" to get the full impact of the book. For smart phone users, either buy the phone version with single pages, or you'll have to do that annoying spread movement with your thumb and forefinger to zoom in to each spread.

This 120-page book is a source of weekly inspiration. Think of it as "Chicken Soup for the Soul" crossed with the classic joke "Waiter, taste my soup." When the waiter finally agrees to taste the soup, and asks "where's the spoon?" our writers point out the obvious lack of silverware and laugh "A ha!"

The official tie-in book to the wildly anonymous Medium.com publication by the same name, The Tao of Blogging features surprising, off-the-wall and outrageously funny pearls of wisdom pulled from the chaotic, comedic and often cathartic interaction of a group of sensitive, thoughtful, and introspective writers.

When a fellow writer responded to his parody social movement #WillWorkForDonuts with the immortal quote "I am the air around the donut's hole," editor Lon Shapiro knew there had to be a book in there somewhere.

In his words, "I joked that the zen-like beauty of her completely senseless, yet profoundly deep quote inspired me to begin a new collaborative book.

"The collective authors have responded to the problems of life, big and small, expressing something deeply important to them, which could be interpreted differently by each reader, and purposely misinterpreted by me. To find wisdom where there appears to be craziness – and vice versa – represents the duality in life, as we see in the Yin-Yang symbol.

"My friend Jeffrey Field says, 'I came for the funny,' and I hope you have, too. These quotes will make you laugh, or cry, or think 'WTF?' Or sometimes all three. That’s the Tao of Blogging."

Edited and illustrated by writer and graphic designer Lon Shapiro, The Tao of Blogging provides a weekly dose of laughter, tears and wisdom, and contains special bonus material you can't find online for extra laughs.
