- synopsis On the Polynesian island of Motunui, the inhabitants worship the goddess Te Fiti, who brought life to the ocean, using a stone as her heart and the source of her power. Maui, the shape-shifting demigod and master of sailing, steals the heart to give humanity the power of creation. However, Te Fiti disintegrates, and Maui is attacked by Te Ka, a volcanic demon, losing both his magical giant fishhook and the heart to the depths. A millennium later, Moana, daughter of Motunui's chief Tui, is chosen by the ocean to return the heart to Te Fiti. However, Tui arrives and takes Moana away, causing her to lose the heart. Movie Watch Moana to Densetsu no umr cnrs. Wow, looking back Ive realized that this song may have actually saved my life. Lemme explain... i was suffering severely with anorexia, close to dying from it. I watched Moana one night to distract from the pain and went through a whole identity awakening shift. When she says: who am i? I was thinking, yeah really, who am i? Who have i become? And when she sings out “i am Moana!” Oh my goodness, i just remember pausing the movie and crying into my hands for like 20 mins. Something about reconnecting to the child inside of me, the young soul that still knew who i wanted to be, the courageous and caring person like Moana, it rose from my heart in a way i never imagined would happen watching an animated film targeted for younger audiences. I think that because of the gentle purity of this movie my terrified and screwed up brain found a way to remember the honest good in life and the playfulness still there in me. i was able from that moment onwards to fight my way back to the person i knew i really was. 😔❤️ Moana saved me from Anorexia at 21. And they say these movies are only for kids...

Moanas grandma said that if Moana wanted to go home that was fine, if she wanted to keep going that was fine too, as long as thats what she really wanted and what made her happy. My grandma died when I was really young, and once when I went into a surgery, nothing major or life threatening just a simple procedure that I needed to be put to sleep for, I saw her, she just put her hand on my cheek, smiled proudly, ruffled my hair, and gave me a kiss on the forehead before I woke up. I was too young when she died to understand and I didnt get to tell her goodbye. My mom told me that she came back to check up on me, and because of me being out to sleep, I was able to see her. ;u.
