Superaquello is an alternative rock band that marked a milestone in the independent music scene in Puerto Rico. Music peers augured its commercial success and its loyal fans gave them cult status. Emergence is an intimate documentary by the director, their number one fan, who confronts the betrayal of moldy footage and faded memories while searching through the dynamics between Eduardo Alegría, Francis Pérez, Patricia Dávila, Jorge Castro and Pablo Santiago to understand how their personalities created the greatness of the band-- which in turn led to its dissolution.
