The first time I took a trip down the Geirangerfjord from Hellesylt to Geiranger the whole experience simply took my breath away. It was a cloudy day with a light misty rain, but this was no bad thing. The weather conditions created a magical environment, one that I’ve continued to enjoy several times since.

The village of Geiranger is the fjord’s major destination, even though it’s a tiny hamlet that would otherwise barely merit a mention on a map.
