Robert Worby is a writer, broadcaster, composer and sound artist. He has composed electronic music for over 50 years, and presenter of BBC Radio 3’s weekly contemporary music programme, Hear and Now. Robert's work is made through obsessive listening with close attention to fine detail. He is a member of musique concrète collective Langham Research Centre, whose works have been performed throughout Europe and Japan.
Factitious Airs (Electronic Music) is Robert's first solo release, reflecting his interest in the electronic techniques of Karlheinz Stockhausen, Pierre Henry, and the groundbreaking electronic music produced in the 1950s and 60s. This music is borne from the unfolding in time of energy and dynamics, pitch, location and physical movement.
